Share your ultimate BBQ creation and get a chance to win a Big Green Egg, €500 in store credit, and eternal BBQ glory.

Follow the Battle on our website and social media for updates. The grand prize is a Big Green Egg Large, but that's not all – we're also giving away 3x €500 in store credit. You'll earn eternal BBQ glory, and with your permission, we'll showcase your recipe on our website and credit you as its creator.

UPDATE: Sometimes summer turns out a little differently than planned. And in our case, that’s quite an understatement. After the fire at our flagship store in Meppel, the past few weeks have mainly been about adapting, clearing up and looking ahead again.

As a result, the Butchery BBQ Battle hasn’t quite received the attention we had planned for it either. And with prizes like these, we think that would be a real shame. That’s why we’ve decided to extend the Battle by one month.

You now have until 1 October to submit your BBQ creation. Already entered? Then there’s nothing you need to do. All existing entries remain valid and have just as much chance of winning the prizes.

Haven’t entered yet? Then you’ve unexpectedly got a little extra time. And remember: you really don’t have to be a pitmaster. A great steak, an incredible burger or an impressive rib creation could be all it takes – and taking part is a fun challenge in itself. Share your creation, because sharing = caring!

What do you need to do?

Create an original BBQ dish and submit it via social media using #butcherybbqbattle or by email. A classic with a twist, a bold flavour combination, a fun and creative dish, or the most photogenic BBQ creation you can serve – anything goes.

In previous years, Jeremy Naaijen impressed us with his Stroopwafel Ribs (surprisingly delicious!), while the Heart Attack Burger by @vurigekolen was also a huge hit. BBQ and originality (perhaps with a touch of humour) are really the only requirements for a chance to win. We want to get the inspiration flowing again!

When do you need to do it?

The competition kicks off on June 1st. In mid-August, we'll nominate 5 finalists, after which the public can vote for their favourites on social media. On 1 October, we'll announce the 2 winners:
